B. Braun Monosyn® suture material violet in detail
Monosyn® is medium-strength, absorbable, synthetic and monofilament. The suture material is made of glyconate and is purple in colour. 13 to 14 days after implantation, around 50 % of the original nodal friction is retained. Most of the resorption takes place after 60 to 90 days.monosyn® is frequently used in the following areas:
- subcutaneous and intracutaneous skin closure
- closure of episiotomies
- gastrointestinal anastomoses
