Type of application?
Apply the medicine to the affected area(s) of skin. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice on how to use the medicine. The medicinal product should only be applied to the genitals or leg ulcers by healthcare professionals or under their supervision. The area(s) treated with the medicinal product should be covered with an airtight dressing (except for procedures on the genital mucosa). Wash your hands thoroughly after use. Avoid accidental contact with eyes, damaged skin and open skin areas (except for leg ulcers).

Duration of use?
The duration of application or exposure time of the medicine depends on the type of procedure. It should therefore be determined in consultation with your doctor.

Overdosage?
Overdosage can lead to reduced oxygen transport of red blood cells (methemoglobinemia), nervous system disorders such as cramps and impaired consciousness and cardiovascular problems. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor immediately.

As a general rule: Pay particular attention to conscientious dosing, especially with infants, small children and older people. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist about any effects or precautionary measures.

A dosage prescribed by a doctor may differ from the information in the package leaflet. Since the doctor will adjust it individually, you should therefore use the medicine according to his instructions.

Storage before opening
The medicine must be stored protected from frost.
Storage after opening or preparation
The medicinal product is intended for single use only after opening/preparation. Leftovers must be discarded!

Which age group should be considered?
- Children and adolescents under the age of 18: In this age group, the medicine should only be used for certain indications. Ask your doctor or pharmacist about this.

What about pregnancy and breastfeeding?
- Pregnancy: Consult your doctor. Various considerations play a role in whether and how the medicine can be used during pregnancy.
- Breastfeeding: According to current knowledge, there is no indication that the medicine should not be used during breastfeeding.

How do the ingredients of the medicine work?

The medicine consists of a combination of the two active ingredients lidocaine and prilocaine, which belong to the group of local anesthetics. The active ingredients suppress the transmission of nerve impulses, making them insensitive to pain and itching and leading to local anaesthesia.
