Erler Zimmer Catheterisation/Enema Simulator, Male in Detail
Basic high quality training is provided for both male and female models. This includes urethral catheterisation, perineal care and enemas.
The model has soft and anatomically correct genitalia and offers a realistic feel during catheter insertion. The organ unit can also be used independently without the pelvic torso, allowing practice with simulated patients or full-body models in a clinical context.
The newly developed modular system allows for easy assembly, cleaning and maintenance, saving time and costs for teaching staff.
The model offers various practice activities, including intermittent catheterisation, perineal care, urethral meatus positioning, indwelling catheterisation, enemas, cleansing, catheter insertion and placement, catheter retraction and bladder compression.
The soft genitalia enable realistic cleaning and various procedures, such as spreading the labia, holding the penis perpendicular to the body and retracting the foreskin.
Successful catheter insertion is confirmed by urine (water) flow. It is also possible to apply manual bladder pressure and practise enemas in a lateral position.
