HEINE Flextip+ fibre optic (F.O.) blade in detail
The Heine® FLEXTIP+ F.O. SPATEL has been specially developed to provide an optimal solution for difficult intubation situations. With its Macintosh blade design and an angled distal end (up to 70° inclination), this instrument allows gentle lifting of the epiglottis after insertion of the blade. This unique functionality creates a clear view of the laryngeal inlet and vocal cords, while avoiding excessive pressure on the teeth, tongue and pharynx.
The key features at a glance:
- HiLite fibre optic light guide: The FLEXTIP+ F.O. SPATEL is equipped with the Heine HiLite fibre optic light guide, which offers improved light transmission and a longer service life with more than 6500 individual fibres. You can choose between LED or XHL illumination, which provides up to 3 times or 40 % higher illuminance compared to conventional halogen lamps.
- Reduction of the risk of injury: The high-quality stainless steel construction and the blade end that can be bent up to 70° make difficult intubation easier and significantly minimise the risk of injury in problem patients.
- Autoclavable and reusable: The product is non-sterile, reusable and autoclavable. After 4,000 standard autoclaving cycles at 134 °C for 4 minutes, the illuminance remains well above 1,000 lux.
- Compatibility: The FLEXTIP+ F.O. SPATEL is suitable for all laryngoscope handles of the larger series according to ISO 7376 (Grüner Standard), with the exception of the F.O. angle handle. Angled handle.
Supplied without handle. For safe and effective use, it is important to follow the enclosed instructions for use carefully. The Heine® FLEXTIP+ F.O. SPATEL combines innovation, quality and advanced light technology to achieve outstanding results in laryngoscopy.
