Isotonic saline solution 0.9% Braun Miniplasco connect in detail
Isotonic saline solution 0.9% from Braun provides effective fluid and electrolyte replacement for various medical conditions:
- Treatment of hypochloremic alkalosis and chloride depletion.
- Short-term intravascular volume replacement for hypotonic and isotonic dehydration.
- Use as a carrier solution for electrolyte concentrates and compatible medications.
It is important to note that Isotonic Saline 0.9% Brown should not be used in hyperhydration states. The maximum daily dose is up to 40 ml per kg body weight per day, corresponding to 6 mmol sodium per kg body weight per day.
Caution should be exercised during use, especially in patients with hypokalaemia, hypernatraemia, hyperchloraemia or conditions requiring restrictive sodium intake, such as heart failure, oedema, pulmonary oedema, hypertension and severe renal insufficiency.
