Micotar® cream is an effective fungicidal medicine specially developed for the external treatment of fungal skin infections. The main active ingredient miconazole nitrate effectively combats fungal infections on the skin, including in skin folds and between fingers and toes. The cream is suitable for use on infants, children and adults and offers a simple and effective solution for combating fungal complaints.
Product details & mandatory information:
- Micotar® Cream is a fungicidal medicinal product for external use in fungal skin diseases.
- Active ingredient: miconazole nitrate 20 mg/g.
- Excipients: paraffin, viscous; polyoxyethylene (1500) monostearate; benzoic acid 2 mg/g; PEG glycerol oleate; purified water.
Application:
- Wash and dry the affected areas of skin thoroughly before each application.
- Apply a thin layer of the cream twice a day to the affected areas and the surrounding skin and massage in gently.
Dosage:
- The usual duration of treatment is 2 to 6 weeks.
- Continuous application is required until the fungal culture is negative and all symptoms have subsided.
Side effects and contraindications:
- Possible side effects include skin irritation, hypersensitivity reactions and local changes in skin colour.
- Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to miconazole nitrate or benzoic acid.
Patient information:
- For external use; avoid contact with the eyes.
