Frenzel nystagmus goggles in detail
Frenzel goggles offer an easy-to-use alternative to conventional, complex electronystagmography (ENG). The internal illumination of the goggles makes it possible to interrupt optical contact with the patient's surroundings. Thanks to magnifying lenses, the brightly illuminated eyes are also easier to observe. This makes it possible to recognise pathological nystagmus processes when looking straight ahead, which are hardly or not at all recognisable without glasses, even when looking to the side.
