How to use?
Take the medicine.

Duration of use?
The duration of use depends on the type of complaint and/or duration of the illness and is therefore only determined by your doctor. Maximum duration of treatment: 7 days.

Overdosage?
No overdosage symptoms are known. If in doubt, consult your doctor.

Have you forgotten to take it?
Continue as normal (i.e. not with double the prescribed amount) at the next prescribed time.

As a general rule: Pay particular attention to conscientious dosing, especially with infants, small children and older people. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist about any effects or precautionary measures.

A dosage prescribed by a doctor may differ from the information in the package leaflet. As the doctor will personalise it, you should therefore use the medicine according to his instructions.

The medicine may be used for a maximum of 24 months after opening/preparation!
The medicine must be stored at room temperature after opening/preparation.

Always:
- Hypersensitivity to the ingredients
- Cough with strong mucus formation
- Reduced function of the cilia in the airways, as in
- Kartagener syndrome
- Ciliary dyskinesia
- Severely impaired liver function

Under certain circumstances - talk to your doctor or pharmacist:
- Severely impaired kidney function

Which age group should be considered?
- Infants and young children under 2 years of age: The medicine must not be used.

What about pregnancy and breastfeeding?
- Pregnancy: The medicinal product must not be used.
- Breastfeeding: The medicinal product must not be used.

If you have been prescribed the medicine despite a contraindication, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. The therapeutic benefit may be greater than the risk associated with use in the case of a contraindication.what adverse effects can occur?

Side effects have only been described for this medicine and have only occurred in exceptional cases.

For the information provided here, side effects occurring in at least one in 1,000 treated patients are taken into account.
- The ability to react may be impaired even when used as intended, especially at higher doses or in combination with alcohol. Pay particular attention if you are driving or operating machinery (including household machinery) that could cause injury.
- Parabens (preservatives e.g. E 214 - E 219) can cause hypersensitivity reactions, even with a time delay.
- Take care if you are intolerant to sucrose. If you have to follow a diabetes diet, you should take the sugar content into account.
- There may be medicines with which interactions occur. You should therefore always tell your doctor or pharmacist about any other medicine you are already taking before starting treatment with a new medicine. This also applies to medicines that you buy yourself, use only occasionally or have been using for some time.
How does the active ingredient of the medicine work?

The active ingredient quells the urge to cough by occupying certain binding sites in the airways, thereby preventing stimuli from being passed on and making us cough constantly. The active ingredient also dilates the bronchi and relaxes the muscles in the respiratory tract.
