How to use?

Duration of use?
In principle, the medicine should only be used for a short time. You should not use the medicine for longer than 2 weeks without medical advice. If your symptoms persist for longer, you should consult your doctor. After 2 weeks of treatment at the latest, you should check whether further treatment is necessary.

As a general rule: Pay particular attention to conscientious dosing, especially with infants, small children and older people. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist about any effects or precautionary measures.

If you notice any discomfort or change during treatment, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

The information provided here is based primarily on side effects that occur in at least one in 1,000 patients treated.
- The ability to react may be impaired even when used as intended, especially at higher doses or in combination with alcohol. Pay particular attention when driving or operating machinery (including household machinery) that could cause injury.
- Avoid excessive UV radiation, e.g. in solariums or during extended sunbathing, as the skin reacts more sensitively during the use of the medicine.
- Sudden discontinuation may cause problems or discomfort. Treatment should therefore be stopped slowly, i.e. by gradually reducing the dose. It is best to seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist.
- Caution: If you use the medicine over a longer period of time, your body may become accustomed to it and you may need an increasingly higher dosage in order to feel any effect.
- Take care if you are allergic to colourings (e.g. quinoline yellow with the E number E 104)!
- Take care if you are allergic to colourings (e.g. indigo carmine with the E number E 132)!
- Take care if you are intolerant to sucrose. If you have to follow a diabetes diet, you should take the sugar content into account.
- There may be medicines with which interactions occur. You should therefore generally inform your doctor or pharmacist of any other medicine you are already taking before starting treatment with a new medicine. This also applies to medicines that you buy yourself, use only occasionally or have been using for some time.
How does the active ingredient of the medicine work?

The active ingredient blocks receptors for a certain messenger substance called histamine. Via this blockade, it suppresses vasodilation and increased blood flow in the smallest hair vessels (capillaries) triggered by histamine.
