Buffered vitamin C as stomach-friendly calcium ascorbate
Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is an important antioxidant that fights free radicals. The human body needs vitamin C every day as it is involved in a variety of processes where it fulfils important tasks. It is one of the most important vitamins for our organism. As the body cannot produce vitamin C itself, it must be obtained from food.
Vitamin C promotes the absorption of iron from food. It is mainly found in vegetables and fresh fruit such as pineapple, apples, kiwis, strawberries, blackberries and especially citrus fruits such as lemons, mandarins and grapefruits.
