DeltaVen in detail
DeltaVen is a closed catheter system from icu medical that is particularly easy to insert and is available in various eye sizes. By using a closed system, the risk of mechanical phlebitis can be reduced by 36%. The 26 G configuration was specially developed for neonates, children and oncology. DeltaVen is the only catheter that fulfils the special requirements of the smallest veins for intensive care medicine. The transparent connection of the DeltaVen catheters allows blood residues to be quickly recognised and access flushes to be added if necessary. The firmly connected extension set minimises the risk of contamination, while the simple catheter advancement increases the chances of success with the first stitch. The stabilisation pad with gentle indentations also guarantees better ventilation.
The DeltaVen catheters are supplied in a box containing 4 boxes of 20 (= 80 in total).
