Neoheel™ safety lancets in detail
The Neoheel™ safety lancets allow blood samples to be taken safely and easily from newborn babies after birth. The stainless steel microblade reaches the preferred depth of 1 mm with the high-speed swivelling movement - exactly above most nerve fibres. The four configurations of Neoheel™ lancets are adapted to the developmental stage of the newborn. The length and depth of the incision have been developed based on the weight of the newborn to minimise pain during sampling and trauma to the delicate tissue. Premature activation and additional loose parts are prevented by the integrated safety mechanism. The sides of the lancets also have a profile that ensures a good grip. Injuries caused by unintentional needle sticks are also prevented when using the Neoheel™ safety lancets, as the microblade immediately retracts into a continuously locked position.
