This reinforced calcium alginate dressing combines the proven properties of calcium alginate fibres with the innovative advantages of cellulose fibres. Key features:
- Optimum absorption and gel formation: On contact with wound exudate, the dressing exchanges sodium ions with calcium ions to form a gel. This gel traps bacteria and cellular debris, maintaining a moist wound environment. This supports autolytic debridement and promotes wound healing.
