B. Braun Monosyn® suture material violet in detail
The Monosyn® suture material from B. Braun is medium-strength, absorbable, synthetic and monofilament. It consists of glyconate and is purple in colour. 50 % of the original knot strength is retained for up to 13 to 14 days after implantation. The suture material largely resorbs after 60 to 90 days.monosyn® is frequently used for:
- subcutaneous and intracutaneous skin closure
- closure of episiotomies
- gastrointestinal anastomoses
