Erler Zimmer Human digestive system, 5-part in detail
This life-size model depicts the human digestive system. It shows the entire digestive tract from the oral cavity to the rectum. The oral cavity, pharynx and upper oesophageal section are open on the medial sagittal plane to provide a better view. In addition, the liver is shown together with the gallbladder and can be removed. The pancreas and duodenum are cut open to visualise the internal structures. The stomach is removable and can be divided into two parts. Parts of the large intestine, appendix, small intestine and rectum are also opened up to allow a view of the internal structures. The model is mounted on a base board.
