Betaisodona® solution
Betaisodona® solution is an antiseptic agent for the disinfection of skin, mucous membranes and wounds, suitable for single or repeated use.
Fields of application:
Betaisodona® solution is used for disinfection before surgical procedures, injections and blood sampling as well as for antiseptic wound treatment of burns and infected skin diseases.
Dosage and application:
- Skin and mucous membrane disinfection: Use undiluted, exposure time 1 to 10 minutes depending on skin type.
- Surgical hand disinfection: Rub undiluted into the hands, contact time 5 minutes.
- Wound treatment and burns: Apply undiluted.
- Antiseptic rinses and baths: Use diluted with water in a ratio of 1:2 to 1:100.
Notes:
Betaisodona® solution colours the skin brown, which indicates its effectiveness. The solution should be reapplied when the discolouration is complete. Textile stains can usually be washed out; stubborn stains can be removed with ammonia or fixing salt.
