Cationorm® MD sine in detail
CATIONORM® - the special cationic emulsion
CATIONORM® is an innovative tear substitute in the form of a cationic oil-in-water emulsion based on the advanced Novasorb® emulsion technology.
CATIONORM® consists of an aqueous solution with many small oily droplets that are positively charged. Due to the electrostatic attraction between these positively charged droplets and the negatively charged ocular surface, CATIONORM® spreads optimally on the cornea and conjunctiva of the eye. After instillation, CATIONORM® spreads evenly over the surface of the eye, providing quick and long-lasting relief for dry eyes.
CATIONORM® supports all three layers of the tear film, providing long-lasting relief for dry eyes.
Lipid layer:
CATIONORM® supplements the lipid layer of the tear film, helping to stabilise and reduce evaporation of the tear film.
Aqueous layer:
CATIONORM® moisturises the ocular surface and provides long-lasting hydration.
Mucin layer:
CATIONORM® spreads quickly and evenly on the surface of the eye, reduces friction and protects the cornea and conjunctiva of the eye.
