Double Heart® Active Fat Binder - For weight control as part of a fat-conscious diet
Doppelherz® Active Fat Reducer is a medical product for the treatment and prevention of overweight and obesity. It helps to reduce fat and calorie intake from food and thus supports a weight-reducing diet or weight control in combination with a fat-conscious diet.

Suitable for vegetarians and vegans
The active ingredient OMTEC 50® contained in Doppelherz® Active Fat Binder has a high lipid binding capacity and reduces the absorption of fat and calories from food. It forms a gel-like substance in the stomach which mixes with the food and binds the fat in a non-soluble form so that it is excreted undigested.
Dosage and use (for adults)
To support a weight-reducing diet:
- Take 2-3 capsules twice daily 15 minutes before a main meal with a large glass of water (≥ 250 ml).
To support weight control as part of a fat-conscious diet:
- Take 1-2 capsules twice a day 15 minutes before a main meal with a large glass of water (≥ 250 ml).
Note:
Do not chew or bite the capsules. Maximum intake: 6 capsules per day.
Restrictions on use
- Do not take for more than 30 days in a row, then take a 4-day break.
- Do not take other medicines, vitamins or essential fatty acids at the same time (1 hour before or 4 hours after taking the capsules).
Side effects
- Nausea, abdominal pain, constipation or flatulence may occur. If side effects persist, reduce the dose or discontinue use.
- Overdosing (> 6 capsules per day) or insufficient fluid intake may cause constipation.
Use during pregnancy and/or breastfeeding
- Seek medical advice before taking.
Interactions
- May affect the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins and active ingredients of medicines (e.g. contraceptives).
Warnings
- Do not take in case of hypersensitivity to ingredients, gastrointestinal disorders, warfarin intake, underweight, pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Not suitable for babies, infants, children and adolescents without medical advice.
- Do not chew or bite the capsules, keep out of reach of children, do not use if the blister pack is damaged.
- Discontinue use in case of allergic reactions.
