Erler Zimmer Coniotomy Simulator in detail
The newly developed coniotomy simulator is ideal for learning and practising the techniques of needle coniotomy or surgical coniotomy. This product is aimed at paramedics, military paramedics, anaesthetists and other emergency personnel who want to improve their skills and safety when performing coniotomy.
Anatomically correct landmarks can be used to train on the spot, enabling rapid action. The hyperextended neck helps the user to identify the correct incision site. The trachea can be exchanged and the airway is continuous from top to bottom. This allows the position of the stylet and guide rod to be checked after the incision.
The simulator is supplied together with the chin and neck so that a guide rod can be fixed in place with a tie. Inflation of the artificial lung confirms correct performance. The delivery includes the simulator with base plate, six interchangeable neck skins, six interchangeable trachea inserts for adults (two soft, four hard), six trachea inserts for children (two soft, four hard), two artificial lungs, an instruction manual and a carrying case. The total weight is 9.1 kg.
