Method of application?

Apply a thick layer of the medicine to the affected skin area(s). Then massage the medicine in gently. The area(s) treated with the medicine should be covered with a bandage. Ask your doctor for advice on using the product as a permanent dressing for musculoskeletal disorders. You should remove the ointment residue before each dressing change.
Wash your hands thoroughly after use.
Avoid accidental contact with the eyes.

Duration of use?

The duration of use depends on the nature of the symptoms and/or the course of the disease. When used as a permanent dressing, the dressing should be changed after 3 days at the latest. If symptoms persist for longer or recur regularly, you should consult your doctor.

Overdosage?

Overdosage may cause skin irritation. If in doubt, consult your doctor.
As a general rule, pay particular attention to conscientious dosing, especially with infants, small children and older people. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist about any effects or precautions.

How does the active ingredient of the medicine work?

The active ingredient ammonium bituminosulfonate is a sulfonated shale oil. When applied to the skin, ammonium bituminosulphonate has a weak antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect.
