B. Braun Dafilon® non-absorbable suture material in detail
The blue Dafilon® suture material can be used to perform skin closures (intracutaneous, subcutaneous, skin). It is also suitable for plastic surgery and neurosurgery. The suture material is non-absorbable, monofilament and uncoated and is made of polyamide 6/6.6. As the suture material is made of nylon, progressive hydrolysis can mean a gradual loss of tensile strength over time - even though it is non-absorbable.
