B. Braun Cellistypt® in detail

Cellistypt® is a haemostatic agent made from oxidised, absorbable cellulose, which is available in 3 dosage forms. It is biocompatible and resorbable in 1-2 weeks. Cellistypt® has bacteriostatic properties, a knitted structure, is highly elastic and can be easily moulded to anastomoses. It is also suitable for stopping minor venous and diffuse bleeding in open and minimally invasive procedures. Cellistypt® D-K has a knitted structure and is stronger and denser than Cellistypt®. It is also more effective. It can be used as a suture abutment. Cellistypt® F consists of non-woven fibres, has a cotton wool-like structure and has individually removable layers. It can be dispensed very precisely and is easy to place, even in hard-to-reach areas.
