B. Braun Supramid suture material in detail
Supramid is synthetic, non-absorbable, consists of polyamide and is available in two structures - depending on the thread thickness.
- USP 4/0 - 2: pseudo-monofilament, thread core made of polyamide 6.6, sheath made of polyamide 6
- USP 6/0 - 5/0: monofilament, made of polyamide 6
The suture material is particularly suitable for skin closure (intracutaneous, subcutaneous, skin) and drainage fixation.
