Erler Zimmer ultrasound-guided breast biopsy phantom in detail
We would like to introduce you to our brand new training model for ultrasound-guided breast biopsy. This model offers you many advantages and features to improve your skills.
With our model, you can practice various techniques such as fine needle aspiration biopsy, punch biopsy and mammotome biopsy under ultrasound guidance. The tissue of the breast phantom is specially developed to resemble human breast tissue in terms of softness and resistance. This allows you to perform realistic exercises.
Excellent image quality is another highlight of our model. The targets you aim at are colour-coded to help you perform a successful biopsy. In addition, the targets are distributed over three levels so that you can practise puncture training at different depths and angles.
Our phantom is available in two versions. The basic version is transparent and contains 12 hyperechogenic targets in sizes 6 mm and 10 mm, which are marked in blue. The extended version, on the other hand, is opaque and contains both 6 hyperechogenic (marked in blue) and 6 hypoechogenic (marked in red) targets in the sizes 6 mm and 10 mm.
Our model measures 136 mm in diameter and 70 mm in height. It weighs 0.7 kg, which makes it light and easy to handle.
