Transportable ultrasound is becoming increasingly popular and is being used more and more in adult care. It enables the measurement of intravesical urine volume without the need for catheterisation, which can be associated with a risk of infection.
You can use the transportable ultrasound to train the following skills:
- Handling and moving the transducer during the bladder ultrasound examination.
- Scanning the bladder to measure and assess urine volume.
The set includes four different patient cases with different urine volumes:
- 50 ml urine
- 150 ml urine
- 300 ml urine
- Urine retention/indwelling catheter
The transportable ultrasound has a size of 30 x 26 x 18 cm and weighs approx. 3.2 kg.
