Erler Zimmer head and neck phantom for CT, X-ray and radiotherapy in detail
The phantom offers you an extremely realistic simulation of a head and neck CT angiography (with arterial contrast) of a patient with an arteriovenous malformation on the right side. It is delivered in true-to-life scale and includes the cervical spine up to the base plate of the fifth cervical vertebra.
This phantom is produced using real patient data and state-of-the-art technology. The visualisation of bones, vessels and soft tissue is authentic and represents the realistic CT values of all tissues at a tube voltage of 120 kVp. If required, the calibration of the CT values can be adjusted accordingly to other tube voltages (e.g. 100 kVp).
The phantom gives you realistic tissue contrasts in X-ray imaging. Air spaces are filled with a material that has approximately -80 Hounsfield units.
The head phantom is available with a size of 19x23x27cm.
