Active ingredients:

- N-(2-hydroxyethyl)-N-(2-lauramidoethyl)aminoacetic acid, sodium salt
- PEG-150 distearate

Indication:
Epi-Pevaryl is an antifungal medicinal product for external use in fungal diseases of the skin and scalp, including pityriasis versicolor caused by the yeast Pityrosporum orbiculare or ovale.
Dosage and application:
- Use: Use the medicine as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you are unsure, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
- Recommended dosage: Shower hair and body first. Apply the solution to the damp scalp, affected areas and the rest of the body. Do not forget the armpits, skin folds and spaces between the toes. Have someone else treat your back. Use one third of the contents of the sachet for the scalp, affected areas and the rest of the body.
Duration of application:
- Duration of treatment: Apply on three consecutive evenings before going to bed. One sachet content per application.
- Stubborn cases: Treatment over 6 days. In the case of previous infections or large affected skin areas, also 6 days. After 14 days, check for live fungi with a doctor. Repeat treatment if necessary.
- Relapse prophylaxis: Follow-up treatment after 1 and 3 months if there is a risk of infection or in areas with a high incidence of fungi.
Side effects:
- Common (1 in 10): Itching, burning of the skin, pain
- Occasional (1 in 100): Redness of the skin, discomfort, swelling
- Not known: Swelling (angioedema), skin inflammation, skin rash, hives, blistering, dandruff, hypersensitivity
Interactions:
- With other medicinal products: Inform your doctor about all other medicines you are taking or using. Consult your doctor if you are taking anticoagulants (e.g. warfarin). Dosage adjustments may be necessary.
- Cosmetics: Can be used during the day, not during night treatment.
Contraindications:
- Allergy to econazole or any of the other ingredients.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding:
- Use only after consulting a doctor. Do not use in the breast area to avoid direct contact of the infant with the solution.
Patient information:
- Warnings: For external use only. Do not get into the eyes. In case of contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly with water and seek medical advice if symptoms persist. In case of hypersensitivity reactions (redness, itching, skin irritation, blistering), stop use and do not repeat.
- Ability to drive and use machines: No or only negligible influence.
