Active ingredient and application:
Ichtholan 50% ointment contains the active ingredient ammonium bituminosulphonate, known for its anti-inflammatory properties and its ability to promote the maturation of boils and abscesses. It is also used as a supportive treatment for gonarthrosis and for bruises and sprains.
Areas of application:
The ointment is applied generously to the affected areas of skin and covered with a bandage. The dressing should be changed daily. The ointment residue should be thoroughly washed off before each dressing change in order to maintain the effect.
Composition:
Each gram of ointment contains 500 mg of ammonium bituminosulphonate. The other ingredients include yellow vaseline, microcrystalline hydrocarbons (C40-C60), lanolin and purified water.
Special instructions:
For long-term use in the area of the musculoskeletal system, the use of a special dressing technique is recommended for optimum effectiveness and skin care.
