Dafilon® suture material unspecified is suitable for skin closures and plastic surgery. The suture material is made of polyamide 6 and is non-absorbable and uncoated. The suture structure is monofilament. Dafilon® is also synthetic. Although it is non-absorbable, progressive hydrolysis can lead to a gradual loss of tensile strength over time, as is the case with all nylon suture materials.
