FRONTLINE® SPOT ON offers your cat reliable protection against ticks, fleas and hair lice. This product is suitable for both indoor and outdoor cats and protects them during their adventures in the house, garden and in the wild. Simply applied to the skin, the product spreads quickly with the natural sebum film and forms an invisible protective layer. FRONTLINE® SPOT ON is effective against parasites and is very well tolerated by your velvet paw.
Mode of action
After application, the product spreads within 1 to 2 days with the natural sebum film of the skin and protects the cat from ticks, fleas and hair lice. The active ingredient is absorbed by the parasites on contact with the skin and renders them harmless.
How to use
- Remove a pipette and snap off the tip.
- Part the cat's fur between the shoulder blades.
- Place the pipette directly on the skin and empty it.
- The active ingredient is distributed via the natural sebum film within 1 to 2 days.
Effectiveness
- Kills fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.) within 24 hours, effectiveness lasts for 4 weeks.
- Kills ticks (Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor variabilis, Rhipicephalus sanguineus) for up to 2 weeks.
- Killing of hair lice (Felicola subrostratus).
- Treatment of flea bite allergy (flea allergy dermatitis = FAD).
Important information
- Parasites can be killed immediately after application, but new ticks that later infest the animal may remain visible until the active ingredient renders them harmless.
- To interrupt the flea cycle, the environment and textiles should also be cleaned regularly.
- FRONTLINE® SPRAY is available for kittens and can be used from the first day of life.
Packaging and dosage
FRONTLINE® SPOT ON for cats is available as a solution to be dripped onto the skin and contains the active ingredient fipronil. It is applied by pipette depending on the weight and size of the cat.
