Vomacur® 50 mg tablets are suitable for the treatment and prevention of nausea, vomiting and travel sickness. The active ingredient dimenhydrinate acts in the vomiting centre of the brain and thus prevents stimulation by histamine, which leads to a reduction in nausea and vomiting. The tablets are suitable for adults and children from 6 years of age and over 30 kg body weight.
Dosage:
- Adults and adolescents over 14 years and over 56 kg: 1 to 2 tablets 1 to 4 times daily (max. 8 tablets/day)
- Children from 6 to 14 years and over 30 kg: 1 to 3 times daily ½-1 tablet (max. 3 tablets/day)
- Prevention of travel sickness: First dose approx. 30 to 60 minutes before travelling
Type and manner:
To be taken with plenty of liquid, unchewed. There should be an interval of at least 6 hours between two doses.
Side effects:
Common side effects may include drowsiness, dizziness and difficulty concentrating. If these symptoms occur, operating machinery and driving should be avoided.
