ColoSan® is a proven medicine for the treatment of feed-induced flatulence and gastrointestinal disorders in animals. ColoSan® achieves fast and reliable results, especially in calves suffering from flatulence after milk feeding. It is well tolerated and helps the animals to get fit again quickly.
Areas of application:
- Treatment of flatulence in calves after milk feeding
- Effective for constipation in sows, preventive against MMA (metritis, mastitis, agalactia)
- Supports gastrointestinal disorders thanks to the calming effect of essential oils
Active ingredients:
- Star anise oil
- Bitter fennel oil
- Caraway oil
- Chinese cinnamon oil
- Sulphur

Dosage instructions:
- Under 10 kg: 3 ml / 10 kg body weight (e.g. lamb, 5 kg: 1.5 ml)
- 10 - 100 kg: 1 ml / 10 kg body weight (e.g. calf, 50 kg: 5 ml)
- 100 - 600 kg: 0.3 ml / 10 kg body weight (e.g. cow, 600 kg: 18 ml)
Application:
ColoSan® is administered undiluted into the side of the animal's cheek pouch. If necessary, the dose can be repeated after 0.5 to 2 hours. Drinking water should be made available about half an hour after application. In the case of small-foam fermentation in cattle, sheep and goats, ColoSan® can be administered together with edible oil (approx. 0.25-1 litre).
