B. Braun Dafilon® for microsurgery and ophthalmic surgery in detail
The black Dafilon® suture material can be used in microsurgery and ophthalmic surgery. It is non-absorbable, monofilament, synthetic and uncoated. The suture material is made of polyamide 6.6 and, like all nylon suture materials, progressive hydrolysis can mean a gradual loss of tensile strength over time - although it is non-absorbable.
