B. Braun Dafilon® non-absorbable suture material in detail
The blue Dafilon® suture material is suitable for use in skin occlusions (intracutaneous, subcutaneous, skin) as well as for plastic surgery and neurosurgery. It is non-absorbable, monofilament, synthetic and uncoated and is made of polyamide 6/6.6. Like all nylon suture materials, progressive hydrolysis can mean a gradual loss of tensile strength over time - even though it is non-absorbable.
