Ganesha is one of the most popular Indian gods. He is considered to be the son of Parvati and Shiva. According to legend, Shiva withdrew to meditate and Parvati created a son out of solitude. When Shiva returned, he cut off the boy's head out of anger. When he realised what he had done, he ordered the head of the first living creature that passed by to be placed on Ganesha's body to revive him. Thus, an elephant god was born, combining the powers of Shiva and Parvati.
It is said that Ganesha removes all obstacles. That is why he is often invoked before any kind of endeavour. He brings material and spiritual prosperity and is therefore regarded as the patron saint of business people. But Ganesha should also be present at every new beginning, be it a move or a new job, as he blesses the new situation and brings good luck.
Ganesha has four arms that represent the four aspects of the spiritual body: Mind, Ego, Spirit and Consciousness.
This product is made of brass and decorated with blue sandstone and a golden finish. It has a height of 13.5 cm and weighs 1.3 kg.
