Krishna is one of the eight manifestations (avatars) of Vishnu. He acts as the driver of Prince Arjuna and proclaims the Bhagavadgita, in which he describes himself as the supreme divinity.
The flute symbolises man, who is enlivened by the breath of the Creator and resounds in perfect harmony with him.
