Erler Zimmer dog abdomens - phantom for CT and X-ray in detail
The phantom offers a highly realistic simulation of a dog abdomen without the need to use contrast agents. Both bone and soft tissue are authentically represented and have realistic CT values at a tube voltage of 120 kVp in CT.
The air spaces in the phantom are filled with a cellulose polymer composite that has approximately -80 Hounsfield units. If you want to use the phantom mainly with other tube voltages (e.g. 100 kVp), the calibration of the CT values can be adjusted on request. In addition, the phantom provides realistic tissue contrasts in X-ray imaging.
