Erler Zimmer FAST ultrasound examination model in detail
This training model has been specially developed to enable you to practise the FAST (Focused Assessment with Sonography for Trauma) examination. This examination technique is used to detect free fluid in the abdominal cavity or pericardium. You can use this training model to perform the following examinations:
- FAST procedure: You can examine internal haemorrhages in the liver, kidneys, pelvis and pericardium.
- Sonography of emergency patients: you can examine internal haemorrhages in the pericardium, pleural cavity, liver, spleen and bladder. In addition, you can identify pathologies such as gallbladder inflammation, aortic aneurysms and intestinal lesions.
The model shows detailed ultrasound images of the following conditions:
- Heart tamponade
- Blood in the right upper abdomen
- Blood in the left upper abdomen
- Blood in the pelvis
- Pleural effusion
- Blood around the liver
- Aortic aneurysm
The model comes with a carrying case and an instructional DVD. The dimensions are 61 x 30 x 30 cm and the weight is approximately 31 kg.
