Heparin-ratiopharm® 180.000 Gel is a pharmaceutical gel specially developed for the supportive treatment of superficial phlebitis. With its main active ingredient heparin sodium, it has an inhibitory effect on blood clotting and thus promotes the healing of inflamed veins.
Application:
For the supportive treatment of superficial phlebitis.
Active ingredients:
1800 I.U. heparin sodium per 100 g gel.
Excipients:
Isopropanol, D-limonene, macrogol glycerol hydroxystearate, eugenol, farnesol, linalool, citral, citronella oil, benzyl benzoate, coumarin, isoeugenol, citronellol, carbomer 980, purified water, lavender oil, 1 mg propylene glycol, trometamol.
Dosage:
Apply thinly to the affected areas 2 to 3 times a day.
Duration of use:
Treatment should be continued until symptoms subside, usually for 1-2 weeks.
Instructions for use:
Do not rub in; apply and spread evenly.
Side effects:
Possible reactions include reddening of the skin and itching; seek medical advice if symptoms increase.
Interactions:
No known interactions with other medicinal products when used locally.
Contraindications:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to heparin or acute thrombocytopenia type II.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding:
Seek medical advice before use; heparin does not pass into breast milk.
Patient information:
Do not apply to mucous membranes or open skin areas; medical examination recommended in case of new symptoms.
