How does the active ingredient of the medicine work?
The active ingredient damages the outer envelope, the so-called cell membrane of fungi. This envelope thus loses some of its functions, e.g. it becomes more impermeable to nutrients - the cell starves. Depending on the concentration of the active ingredient, the fungi are inhibited in their growth and reproduction or they die directly due to additional damage to the cell interior. The active ingredient accumulates in the skin, hair and nails and unfolds its full effect there.
