Olynth® Salin nasal spray in detail
The nasal spray is used to cleanse and moisturise the nasal mucosa, which leads to easier nasal breathing. It can also be used for colds and other complaints in which excessive mucus production leads to a blocked nose. The spray contains an isotonic saline solution that is used to support the treatment of nasal congestion and to cleanse the nasal mucosa.
The dosage of the nasal spray varies depending on age. Babies and children up to 2 years of age can spray one puff into each nostril several times a day as needed. Children from the age of 2 and adults can give 1 to 2 sprays into each nostril as required. There is no limit to the duration of use of the spray. If the symptoms worsen or if there is no improvement after 14 days, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted.
The nasal spray is applied nasally by removing the protective cap and pumping several times until a uniform spray comes out. The spray head is inserted into each nostril and pumped once while inhaling gently through the nose. It is important to hold the dosing spray bottle vertically and to wipe off the spray head and replace the protective cap after each use for hygiene reasons.
