Remifemin in detail
Remifemin® tablets are a herbal medicine specially developed to relieve typical menopausal symptoms in women, including hot flushes and excessive sweating. The effect is based on a dry extract of cimicifuga rhizome, standardised to a specific active ingredient content (2.5 mg per tablet). The extract is produced with propan-2-ol as the extracting agent, which has a content of 40% (V/V).
Indications:
- Remifemin® tablets are specially designed for menopausal women to relieve their typical symptoms such as hot flushes and excessive sweating.
Dosage and use:
- The recommended dosage is one tablet twice a day, taken unchewed with sufficient liquid.
- The effect usually sets in after about two weeks of continuous intake.
Instructions for use:
- The medicine is not intended for children and adolescents under the age of 18 or for men.
- It should not be taken continuously for longer than 6 months without medical advice.
- If you forget to take the medicine, you should not take twice the amount.
- Medical advice should be sought if symptoms persist or worsen.
Composition:
- In addition to the active ingredient dry extract of cimicifuga rhizome, the composition includes cellulose powder, potato starch, lactose monohydrate and magnesium stearate as excipients.
