B. Braun Monosyn® suture material violet in detail
Monosyn® is medium-term reißfest, absorbable, synthetic and monofilament. The suture material consists of a triblock copolymer of glycolide, ε-caprolactone and trimethylene carbonate. It is suitable for a wide range of applications, such as:
- Visceral surgery
- Gynaecology
- Urology
- Plastic surgery and reconstructive surgery
- Subcutaneous and intracutaneous skin closure
13 to 14 days after implantation, approx. 50% of the original tensile strength remains. The suture material is resorbed after 60 to 90 days.
