Charcoal tablets 250 mg are a herbal remedy for diarrhoea (antidiarrhoeal) and act as an adsorbent in cases of poisoning caused by food, heavy metals and medicines. They bind harmful substances in the gastrointestinal tract and help to excrete them. Not suitable for poisoning caused by pesticides.
Ingredients
- Medicinal charcoal (250 mg per tablet)
- calcium stearate
- Povidone K25
- White clay
- Talc
- Microcrystalline cellulose
- Macrogol glycerol hydroxystearate
Directions for use
- Adults: 2-4 tablets 3-4 times daily for diarrhoea
- Children: half the adult dose
- In case of poisoning: Dissolve up to 50 tablets in water and take as a gruel
Side effects
- Black discolouration of the stool
- No special measures required in case of overdose
