Vitamin B12 Lichtenstein Injection Solution contains the active ingredient cyanocobalamin and is used to treat vitamin B12 deficiencies that cannot be corrected by diet. It is used to treat diseases such as megaloblastic anaemia and damage to the spinal cord due to vitamin B12 deficiency.
Ingredients
- 1000 micrograms of cyanocobalamin per ampoule (1 ml)
- Sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate
- sodium chloride
- Water for injection
Directions for use
- Standard dose: 1 ampoule (1000 micrograms cyanocobalamin) twice a week
- For vitamin B12 absorption disorders: 100 micrograms of cyanocobalamin per month
- Administration intramuscularly, intravenously or subcutaneously
Side effects
- Very rare: Eczematous or hives-like skin reactions, hypersensitivity reactions, acne
- Not known: Allergic reactions such as itching, swelling, anaphylactic shock, red colouration of urine
Storage
- Store in the original packaging protected from light
- Use immediately after opening, discard unused residues
