Dräger NIV mask ClassicStar® plus in detail
The Dräger ClassicStar® Plus enables you to optimise NIV treatment for patients with acute respiratory diseases. It covers the mouth and nose so that the therapy is also effective with pure mouth breathing. In contrast to the previous model, the ClassicStar® Plus has a silicone sealing lip that ensures an even better seal. In addition, the padded forehead support can be easily adjusted and thus optimally adapted to the patient. The 6-point headgear secures the mask firmly to the patient's head and prevents pressure points. More flexibility and room for manoeuvre are ensured by the 360-degree rotatable angle piece.Choose between the two different angle pieces, which can be easily distinguished from each other thanks to the clear colour coding:
- Standard angle piece: without anti-asphyxia valve and without exhalation openings, blue colour coding
- Anti-asphyxia valve without exhalation opening: the anti-asphyxia valve ensures access to room air at low pressures (<3cm H2O), white colour coding
- Anti-asphyxia valve with exhalation opening: Additional exhalation openings support CO2 elimination during non-invasive ventilation, yellow colour coding
