SEA BAND® acupressure band
The Sea-Band works by applying pressure to the acupuncture points on both wrists (Nei-Kuan points). After just a few minutes, the band shows its effective effect.
The Sea-Band provides effective relief for any type of motion sickness without causing drowsiness or other side effects. It has also proven effective in other situations that cause nausea, such as pregnancy, anaesthesia and chemotherapy. The Sea-Band can be worn as often as required or for as long as required and can be cleaned with soap or mild detergent. Prolonged use can lead to swelling of the hands. In such cases, the bands should be removed.
HOW TO APPLY THE SEA BANDS CORRECTLY:
- Place the middle three fingers on the inside of your wrist, with the edge of the ring finger next to the first joint crease. The Nei-Kuan point is located under your index finger, between the two middle tendons.
- Align the button with the underside of the Nei-Kuan point. Repeat the process for the other wrist. For maximum effect, one band must be worn on each wrist. The sea bands can be put on before the start of the journey or after departure.
