Application and operation of the fluorecare® SARS-CoV-2, Influenza A/B & RSV Antigen Combination Test

  1. Open the sealed pouch and remove the test cassette, the extraction buffer vial and the sterile swab. Place the test cassette on a clean, flat surface.
  2. Use the sterile swab to collect a nasopharyngeal or nasal specimen from the patient, following the specimen collection guidelines.
  3. Insert the swab into the extraction buffer vial and rotate it against the inner wall of the vial for at least 10 seconds to release the viral antigens. Press the swab against the inner wall of the vial to extract as much liquid as possible and then discard the swab.
  4. Add four drops (approx. 100 μl) of the extracted sample to the sample well of the test cassette.
  5. Read the test results after 15 minutes. The appearance of a red line next to the control line (C) indicates that the test is valid. If lines appear next to the markers for SARS-CoV-2 (T1), Influenza A/B (T2) and/or RSV (T3), the test is positive for the corresponding virus(es). If no lines appear next to the virus markers, the test is negative.
  6. Dispose of the used test kit and materials according to local regulations for bio-waste.
