Dry skin

Dry skin, also called xerosis, is a common skin problem characterized by a lack of moisture and lipids (fats) in the skin, which can lead to roughness, flaking, itching and sometimes cracking. It is caused by various factors, including cold or dry weather, frequent hand washing, hot baths and showers, and the use of harsh soaps or cleansers. Treatment focuses on restoring moisture to the skin through the regular application of moisturizers and lotions, which may contain ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, glycerin, urea or lactate.

- Definition of dry skin

Dry skin is a condition in which the skin does not contain enough moisture. People with dry skin often have a rough, scaly and stressed skin that feels uncomfortable. The medical name for dry skin is xerosis.

The moisture content of the skin plays an important role in maintaining your health and beauty. The normal moisture content of the skin is about 10-30 %. In the case of dry skin, however, the moisture content is below this area.

There are both internal and external factors that can influence the development of dry skin. Inner factors include genetic predisposition, hormonal changes and certain diseases such as diabetes. External factors such as cold weather, low humidity, frequent washing with aggressive soaps and cleaning agents as well as the excessive use of alcoholic products can also lead to dry skin.

Maintaining dry skin is crucial to improve your health and appearance. This includes the regular use of moisturizing creams and lotions that enclose the moisture in the skin. It is also important to use gentle cleaning agents and protect the skin from the harmful effects of the sun.

Overall, dry skin is a common dermatological problem caused by a low moisture content in the skin. There are various factors that can affect dry skin, both from the inside and outside. Adequate care and moisture supply are crucial to improve dry skin.

- The importance of the right care for dry skin

Dry skin is a widespread problem that affects many people. Proper care is of great importance to maintain the health of the skin.

Appropriate care supports the skin to supply the skin sufficiently with moisture. This strengthens your natural protective function and the skin barrier can better protect against external influences. This is the only way to regenerate itself and stay healthy.

Dry skin can have different causes. These include, for example, genetic predisposition, hormonal changes, certain medications or environmental influences. In particular, dry air, cold and hot showers can dry out the skin because they reduce the natural moisture content of the skin.

The skin therefore needs special care that aims to maintain and improve moisture. Regular creaming with a rich moisturizer is essential. Choosing the right cleaning products also plays a crucial role, since aggressive cleaning agents can dry out the skin.

Overall, the correct care of dry skin is essential to maintain your health and beauty. Regular use of moisturizing products and the observance of the individual needs of the skin can be sufficiently maintained.

Causes of dry skin

Dry skin is a widespread problem that affects many people. It can be annoying and lead to discomfort, since the skin looks flaky, rough and sometimes even irritated and feels. There are various factors that can lead to the skin drying out and losing its moisture content. These causes should not be underestimated because the skin is our largest organ and has an important protective function. Some frequent causes of dry skin are explained in more detail below.

1. Weather conditions: Cold, dry air in winter and hot summer days can lead to a removal of the natural moisture of the skin.

2. Hot water: Long showering or bathing with hot water can wash the natural oils of the skin and let it dry out.

3. Excessive washing: Washing your hands frequently or cleaning facials can also dry out the skin, especially if aggressive cleaning agents are used.

4. Age: With increasing age, the skin produces less oils and moisture, which can lead to dry skin.

5. Genetic predisposition: Some people by nature have a predisposition to dry skin because their skin stores less moisture.

If you know the causes of dry skin, you can take measures to take the skin with moisture and make it look smooth and healthy again.

External factors

External factors can play a major role in the development of dry skin. Environmental factors such as cold, wind, low humidity and sunlight can strongly influence the skin. In cold winters, the cold can dry out the skin. The wind strengthens this effect by letting the moisture on the skin evaporate faster. Low humidity can further dry and irritate dry skin. The sun's rays can also play an important role. Although many people associate the sun with good skin health, excessive sun exposure can dry out and damage the skin.

In addition, other factors can also lead to dry skin. Frequent washing with alkaline soaps can destroy the natural protective film of the skin and let the skin dry out. Contact with skin -damaging fabrics, such as cleaning agents or chemicals, can also damage the skin barrier and lead to drought. The shaving of the legs can also cause dry skin, since the sharp blades remove the upper layer of skin and the skin then loses moisture.

Overall, many external factors can lead to dry skin. It is important to protect the skin from the negative effects of environmental factors such as cold and wind. In addition, you should make sure not to wash the skin excessively with aggressive products and to protect it from harmful fabrics. When shaving, it is advisable to use dashing products to donate moisture and protect the skin.

- Dry heating air

Dry heating air can dry out the skin heavily and lead to unpleasant symptoms. Heating in winter often creates a low humidity, which moisturizes the skin and makes it dry and cracked. In order to counteract this, it is important to increase the humidity in the room. A humidifier or the installation of water bowls can make sense.

Suitable products should be used for maintaining dry skin. These should have a rich formula and intensively supply the skin with moisture. Ingredients such as Shea butter, jojoba oil or urea are particularly effective because they maintain the skin and protect against drying out. Regular use of skin oils or moisture creams is also recommended.

Dry skin can have endogenous and exogenous causes. Endogenous factors include, for example, genetic predispositions, hormonal changes or chronic diseases. Exogenous factors, on the other hand, are external influences, such as dry heating air, cold weather, frequent washing with aggressive products or a lack of moisture.

To counteract dry skin, it is important to pay attention to external influences and use suitable care products. Good skin care can help supply the skin with moisture and protect it from drying out.

- Cold weather

Cold weather can dry out the skin heavily. The skin is heavily used by low temperatures and variable weather conditions. The natural moisture balance of the skin is disturbed, which leads to drought. The skin produces less sebum that normally serves as a protective film and preserves the skin from drying out. In addition, the moisture supply is lower in winter because the air is dry. This increases the water's water loss, which leads to further drought.

In summer, intensive UV radiation is a special danger to the skin. The damage caused by UV rays leads to premature skin aging, expanded pores, pigment spots and in severe cases even to skin cancer. Especially if you expose yourself to the sun without sufficient sun protection, the skin is at risk.

To avoid dry skin, it is important to maintain the skin sufficiently in winter. Regular cream with a moisturizing cream or lotion can help compensate for water loss. In addition, in summer you should definitely use sun protection with a high sun protection factor and avoid direct sun exposure. By paying attention to the needs of the skin, you can prevent dry skin and contribute to healthy and radiant skin.

- Hard chemicals in skin care products

One of the most common skin problems with which many people have to deal with is dry skin. Dry skin can have various causes, such as environmental factors, genetic predisposition or the use of too hard chemicals in skin care products. In this context, it is important to note that not all skin care products are the same and some ingredients can irritate the skin rather than maintain. Hard chemicals in particular can lead to unwanted side effects and dry out the skin even further. It is therefore advisable to pay attention to ingredients when choosing skin care products that do not add additional strain on the skin and donate its moisture. Natural ingredients such as aloe vera, shea butter or almond oil can be very helpful here, as they supply the skin with important nutrients and at the same time have calming properties. Avoiding hard chemicals in skin care products can therefore help improve dry skin and ensure a pleasant skin feeling.

Inner factors

Dry skin can be caused by different inner factors. An important factor is older age. With increasing age, the skin produces less oil, which can lead to drought. Hereditary factors also play a role. If dry skin has already occurred in the family, the probability is high that other family members are affected.

Changes in the hormone balance can also lead to dry skin, especially for women during menopause. The falling estrogen level can dry out the skin. Malnutrition or lack of fluid can also favor dry skin. An unbalanced diet that is poor in nutrients can affect skin health. Sufficient fluid intake is also important to supply the skin with moisture.

Smoking and psychological stress are factors that can also have a negative impact on the skin. Smoking narrows the blood vessels and affects the blood flow to the skin. This can make the skin dry and less elastic. Mental stress can weaken the skin barrier and lead to increased loss of moisture.

Overall, various inner factors can lead to dry skin, including older age, hereditary predisposition, hormonal changes, malnutrition, smoking and psychological stress. It is important to take these factors into account and take suitable measures in order to supply the skin with sufficient moisture and to maintain their health.

- Hormonal influences

on the dry skin

Hormonal influences play an important role in the development of dry skin. In particular, hormonal changes, such as those occurring during puberty, pregnancy or menopause, can lead to dry skin.

A hormone that plays an important role is estrogen. Estrogen directly influences sebum production in the seed glands of the skin. A reduced estrogen production can lead to reduced sebum production, which in turn leads to dry skin. Since sebum supplies the skin with moisture and protects against drying out, a lack of sebum can lead to scaly and cracked skin.

In addition, hormonal changes influence collagen mining and elastin mining in the skin. Collagen is a protein that is responsible for the strength and elasticity of the skin, while Elastin ensures the elasticity of the skin. Hormonal changes can lead to the reduction of collagen and elastin. This leads to a thinner, less elastic skin and favors the occurrence of dryness wrinkles and fine lines.

Overall, hormonal influences can lead to dry skin because they influence sebum production, collagen mining and elastin mining. In order to treat dry skin, it is important to supply the skin sufficiently with moisture and possibly use products that can regulate the skin's moisture balance.

- Inner diseases such as diabetes mellitus

Diabetes mellitus is a disease associated with dry skin. Inner diseases such as diabetes can lead to this skin problem. Diabetes is a chronic metabolic disorder in which the body cannot properly regulate the blood sugar.

Unexpected nutrition and inadequate fluid intake are factors that can lead to diabetes. A diet that is rich in sugar -containing and high -fat foods can increase the risk of diabetes. A lack of sufficient fluid intake can also favor the occurrence of diabetes.

Diabetes influences the skin because high blood sugar levels can damage the skin cells. Dry skin is a common sequence of diabetes. With an increased blood sugar level, the skin loses its ability to store moisture, which can lead to dryness and scaling.

Dry skin in diabetes can also lead to further problems, such as itching, cracks or inflammation of the skin. It is important to maintain the skin regularly and add sufficient moisture to prevent dryness and possible complications.

In summary, it can be said that diabetes and its relationships with an unhealthy nutrition and insufficient fluid intake can lead to dry skin. It is important to have a healthy lifestyle to minimize the risk of diabetes and its skin consequences.

Effects of dry skin

Dry skin is a common problem that affects many people. It occurs when the skin does not contain enough moisture and thereby healing and protecting its natural ability. This type of skin can have unpleasant effects and impair the quality of life. It is important to understand how dry skin influences the body in order to be able to react appropriately.

Effects of dry skin:

1. Itching: Dry skin is often accompanied by itching. This can be particularly annoying and lead to further complications, as those affected often scratch themselves to relieve the itching. This can lead to scratch wounds and skin irritation.

2. Reductions and scale formation: Dry skin can lead to redness and scale formation. The skin can look rough and scaly, which can affect appearance and causes discomfort.

3. Tension: Dry skin often feels excited. This unpleasant feeling can stop all day long and make it difficult to be pleasant.

4. Skin barrier weakness: When the skin is dry, its natural barrier function is affected. This makes the skin more susceptible to environmental damage, such as the penetration of bacteria or allergens.

It is important to maintain dry skin correctly and add sufficient moisture to reduce these effects and to improve skin health.

Physical effects

of dry skin and how to deal with it.

Dry skin is a condition in which the skin does not contain enough moisture. There can be various causes of dry dryness, such as cold weather, dry air, excessive washing or using aggressive cleaning agents. The physical effects of dry skin can be varied. The skin becomes rough, scaly and sometimes even cracked. It can be itchy and irritated, which leads to unpleasant sensations and discomfort. Dry skin can also lead to increased wrinkle formation and premature skin aging.

To treat dry skin and deal with the physical effects, certain measures should be taken. It is important to maintain the skin regularly, especially with dashing and moisturizing creams or lotions. These products help to close moisture in the skin and strengthen the barrier function of the skin. It is also advisable to use mitigating cleaning agents and to avoid frequent, hot shower, as this can dry out the skin further.

In addition, it is important to drink enough water to supply the body with moisture from the inside. A healthy diet that is rich in omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants can also help improve skin health. In particularly dry environments, the use of a humidifier can help increase the humidity and thus supply the skin with moisture.

Overall, dry skin requires continuous care and attention to alleviate the physical effects. It is important to protect the skin from drying out and supply it with the right care in order to maintain healthy and radiant skin.

- itching

Itching is an annoying symptom that can be caused by dry skin. Fortunately, there are various methods for the treatment of itching. Local -anesthetically acting substances such as polidocanol can have an itch -restful effect and reduce sensations over several hours. This active ingredient has a calming effect on the skin and effectively relieves the itching.

Another active ingredient that can be helpful in the treatment of itching is menthol. Menthol has a cooling effect and immediately ensures a pleasant calming after application. It relieves the itching and can help reduce unpleasant feelings of tension on the skin.

It is important to note that with dry skin there is also a sufficient moisture supply to the skin in order to relieve itching in the long term. Good skin care with moisturizer, which was specially developed for dry skin, can help to calm the skin and reduce itching.

Overall, there are different ways to effectively treat itching on dry skin. Local -anesthetically -looking substances such as polidocanol and cooling active ingredients such as menthol can help to alleviate the itching and calm the skin. Regular skin care with moisturizing products is also important in order to obtain healthy and itch -free skin in the long term.

- scality

Dry skin is often accompanied by scales, which can be annoying and uncomfortable for many people. Fortunately, there are some measures to fix this problem.

One way to relieve scales is to promote blood circulation through sweaty movement and a sauna session. The skin is better supplied with blood, which contributes to removing dead skin cells. In addition, sweating also enables deeper cleaning of the pores, which makes the skin smoother and more radiant.

Another helpful tip is the use of a humidifier to maintain the appropriate humidity. Dry interiors can also dry out the skin and reinforce scales. A humidifier increases the air humidity, which better supplies the skin with moisture better. This can help reduce the occurrence of scales and keep the skin smooth.

Overall, it is important to maintain the appropriate humidity and to promote the blood flow to the skin in order to combat scality. Dry and scaly skin can be treated effectively with regular physical exercise, a visit to the sauna and a humidifier.

- reddening

Reddening can be a frequent symptom of dry skin. With dry skin, the epidermal barrier function can be impaired, which means that moisture evaporates more easily and dries out the skin. This in turn can lead to irritation, including redness.

The main cause of redness in dry skin is the lack of sufficient moisture. This can be caused by various factors, such as cold weather, hot baths or excessive washing the skin. In addition, the use of irritating or allergenic ingredients in skin care products or chemicals such as cleaning agents can lead to redness.

Symptoms of redness in dry skin can be reddening, burning or itching. Affected skin areas can also react more sensitive and sensitive to touch or environmental factors.

The treatment of redness in dry skin is primarily to restore the skin's moisture barrier. This can be achieved by using moisturizing skin care products and avoiding irritating or allergenic substances. In some cases, a doctor or dermatologist can also recommend topical steroids or anti -inflammatory medication.

In order to prevent redness in dry skin, it is important to supply the skin well with moisture and to protect it from irritating factors such as cold temperatures or excessive washing. In addition, it is advisable to use skin -friendly and hypoallergenic skin care products.

Keywords: reddening, dry skin, causes, symptoms, treatment, prevention.

Skin is sensitive - dry skin very special

Dry skin is known to be very sensitive and often reacts sensitive to external influences. This is because the skin protection barrier is weakened on dry skin. An intact skin protection barrier is important because it protects the skin from external loads and prevents the loss of moisture.

Dry skin is thin and tends to be cracked. As a result, it can be slightly irritated and cause discomfort. As a result, susceptibility to skin is increased for allergies and irritation. Environmental factors such as extreme temperatures, windy or dry air as well as frequent washing with hot water can further tighten the problem.

The fact that the skin produces less sebum on dry skin also plays an important role. Calg is a natural layer of fat that protects the skin and supplies with moisture. The lack of sufficient sebum causes dry skin to dry out faster and thus become even more sensitive.

It is therefore important to pay particular attention to good care and the protection of the skin barrier in dry skin. Moisturizing products should be used regularly to protect the skin from drying out. Likewise, attention should also be paid to mild cleaning agents and gentle skin care in order to avoid irritation. The discomfort that goes with dry skin can be minimized by appropriate measures.

Overview shortly: dry skin and possible causes

Dry skin can be caused by various causes. One of the most common causes is a disturbed function of the sebum glands responsible for the production of skin fats. These fats are important to protect the skin from loss of moisture. A disturbed function of sebaceous gland production can lead to dry skin.

Outer influences such as cold, wind, sunlight or frequent washing with aggressive products can also dry out the skin. In addition, certain diseases such as neurodermatitis, psoriasis or diabetes can lead to dry skin.

In old age, the skin structure changes, which can also lead to dry skin. The sebaceous glands produce less fats, the skin becomes thinner and loses elasticity. In addition, the skin is less supplied with blood in old age, which also leads to a deterioration in moisture supply.

If there is persistent, strongly pronounced or suddenly deteriorating dry skin, a doctor should be consulted, as this can indicate an underlying disease. This is particularly important for suspected skin diseases such as psoriasis or skin cancer.

Overall, it is important to maintain the skin sufficiently and protect it from external influences to prevent or treat dry skin. This can be achieved through the regular use of moisturizing creams or oils.

What the skin dries out: inner and outer influences

The skin is the largest organ of the human body and fulfills important functions such as the protection of the body against external influences. Healthy skin is supplied with sufficient moisture and feels smooth. But sometimes the skin can dry out and its barrier function can be affected. This can lead to various symptoms such as itching, feelings of tension and cracks in the skin. There are both inner and outer influences that can dry out the skin. Inner factors can be genetic or can be caused by certain diseases such as neurodermatitis or psoriasis. External influences include, for example, extreme temperatures, dry air, frequent washing with aggressive cleaning agents and the excessive use of alcoholic skin care products. It is important to recognize the possible causes of dry skin and take appropriate measures in order to maintain the skin sufficiently and to supply moisture.

Medicines and forms of therapy as a trigger dry skin

Medicines and certain forms of therapy can have different effects on the skin and cause dry skin. As a side effect, some drugs can lead to the skin drying out. This is done by changing the skin's natural fat and moisture content. In addition, certain therapies such as chemotherapy or radiation can also heavy use the skin and thereby lead to drought.

The causes of dry skin are usually diagnosed by a dermatologist or dermatologist. This carries out various examinations to assess the patient's individual situation. This includes, among other things, the anamnesis, in which the doctor asks questions about the history of illness and the current symptoms, as well as the inspection of the skin and a skin analysis.

Various specialists can be involved in the treatment of dry skin. In addition to the dermatologist, allergists or endocrinologists can also be consulted, depending on which specific causes of dry skin are suspected. Dry skin: When to the doctor?

Dry skin is a common skin problem that affects many people. It occurs when the skin cannot store enough moisture and thus becomes dry, scaly and sometimes even cracked. The causes of dry skin can be varied, such as environmental influences, genetic predisposition, certain diseases or the influence of medication. In most cases, people with dry skin can get their symptoms under control with adequate skin care at home. This includes avoiding irritating products, the use of mild cleaning agents and moisture creams as well as avoiding extreme temperatures and long hot baths or showers. However, it is important to know when it is time to see a doctor. If the dry skin is stubborn, causes severe itching or continues over longer periods, this can indicate an underlying health problem. In such cases, it is advisable to see a dermatologist to determine the cause of the dry skin and to maintain suitable treatment. The doctor can carry out a thorough examination, make a precise diagnosis and recommend suitable drugs or treatments to effectively counter the dry skin.

Care

The next section entitled "Care" focuses on how to maintain dry skin. Suitable skin care plays an important role in this. In order to protect the skin and further dry out, it is important to use mild substances. These should best be pH-neutral and do not contain aggressive ingredients. Parliament -free cleaning agents should also be taken into account, since perfume can often lead to skin irritation.

Another important aspect of skin care for dry skin is the moisture supply. To compensate for the lack of moisture, it is advisable to apply the skin regularly after bathing or showering. This encloses the moisture in the skin and stays smooth for longer.

Dry skin therefore requires special care in which mild and pH-neutral products should be taken into account. It is also important to regularly add enough moisture to the skin. Through these measures, the drought of the skin can be relieved and a pleasant skin feeling can be maintained.

Care for dry hands

Appropriate care is crucial for dry hands to supply the skin with sufficient moisture and keep it smooth. A well -fat cream is particularly recommended. This should contain natural moisture holding factors (NMF) in order to store the moisture in the skin for a long time. An example of this is the lipophilic urine natrium chloride ointment, which is available in most pharmacies.

In addition, a special hand peeling can be used once or twice a week to remove dead skin cells and to facilitate moisture. A hand peeling should be gently to the skin to avoid irritation.

Another way to maintain dry skin intensively is to use a hand mask. This can be used regularly to supply the skin with additional moisture and to calm it down. A hand mask ensures deep -effective care and helps to repair dry skin areas.

Care for dry legs

Dry skin can be an unpleasant problem, especially on the legs. In order to ensure correct care for dry legs, it is important to pay attention to certain effects and ingredients in the care products.

A crucial effect in the care of dry legs is the re -greasing. The skin is supplied with fats to restore the natural fat film and reduce water loss. Products with skin -caring ceramids are particularly suitable here because they strengthen the barrier function of the skin and preserve their moisture.

In addition, the products should be rich, but not complain the skin. This ensures optimal supply of moisture without leaving a sticky or greasy feeling. Hyaluron is a keyword that indicates this hydraturing effect and is recommended for the care of dry legs.

It is also important that the products have water -binding properties in order to supply the skin with sufficient moisture. This includes, for example, glycerin or urea, which ensure that the skin can absorb and store moisture.

In addition, the water content in the care cream should be low to reduce the evaporation of the water on the skin. This prevents further water loss and contributes to sustainable care.

For the care of dry legs, products with rear greasing, rich and non -complaining properties, water -binding ingredients and a low water content are recommended. With the right care products, dry skin on the legs can be effectively maintained and supplied with sufficient moisture.

Dry skin: causes

Dry skin is a skin condition in which the skin contains too little moisture. It is a common problem that can affect people of all ages. The causes of dry skin can be varied.

1. Genetic predisposition: Dry skin can be genetically conditional. If dry skin is common in the family, there is a high probability that other family members also have this capacity.

2. Environmental factors: The environment can play a major role in the development of dry skin. Cold weather, low humidity, strong winds and sun exposure can rinse the moisture of the skin and dry it out.

3. Age process: With increasing age, the natural production of oils and moisture decreases in the skin. This can lead to dry skin, especially in older people.

Hormonal changes can also let the skin dry out. For example, fluctuations in hormone levels during menstruation or during pregnancy can lead to dry skin.

Hereditary factors also play a role in the development of dry skin. If a parent or grandparent suffers from dry skin, it is more likely that the descendants also have this problem.

The menopause is another phase in which many women have to struggle with dry skin. During menopause, hormone production slow down and the natural moisture content of the skin decreases.

Mental stress can also contribute to dry skin. Stress hormones can weaken the skin's moisture barrier and lead to a disturbed skin barrier.

Overall, older age, hormonal changes, hereditary factors, menopause and psychological stress are important factors that can lead to dry skin. It is important to take these factors into account in order to find the right care and treatment for dry skin.

Old

With age, the body's ability to bind and store moisture decreases. This has an impact on the health and appearance of the skin because it can become dry and sensitive. The skin consists of different layers, and in the innermost layer, the dermis, are collagen and elastin fibers that are responsible for the elasticity and strength of the skin. These fibers are surrounded by a moisturizing substance that ensures that the skin remains elastic.

With age, the production of this moisturizing substance decreases, which reduces the ability of the skin to bind and store moisture. This makes the skin dry and fine lines and wrinkles can form. In addition, the protective barrier of the skin is weakened so that it becomes more susceptible to external influences such as cold, wind or chemical substances.

Regular care is therefore important to counter dry skin. It is advisable to use rich creams and lotions, donate moisture and strengthen the skin barrier. In addition, care should be taken to take care of sufficient fluid in order to compensate for the loss of moisture. A healthy diet with sufficient vitamins (e.g. vitamin E) and omega-3 fatty acids can also improve the appearance of the skin.

Overall, it is important to counteract the body's ability to bind and store moisture in old age. With the right care and a healthy lifestyle, dry skin can be protected and maintained.

Genetic predisposition

Genetic predisposition can influence the complexion in different ways. People who have a genetic predisposition to dry skin tend to produce a lower amount of natural oils and moisture binders in their skin. This means that your skin contains less fat and moisture, which makes it dry and scaly.

The genetic predisposition to dry skin can be passed on from one generation to the next. If parents or grandparents suffer from dry skin, it is likely that their descendants will also have this predisposition.

There are a variety of endogenous factors that can contribute to the genetic predisposition to dry skin. Age plays a role because sebum production decreases with increasing age and the skin becomes drier. Hormonal influences such as puberty or menopause can also influence sebum production and cause dry skin.

Other factors such as environmental pollution, certain medication or cosmetic products can increase the genetic predisposition for dry skin. It is important to note that genetic predisposition does not necessarily mean that someone will inevitably develop dry skin.

Overall, one can say that the genetic predisposition has a major impact on the complexion and in particular on the dryness of the skin. Adequate skin care, which is tailored to the needs of dry skin, can help to alleviate dryness and keep the skin healthy.
