Erler Zimmer basic ultrasound phantom in detail
This oval phantom is a valuable support for sonographers in basic training. It enables basic handling of the ultrasound probe. You can learn to recognise shapes, assess echogenicity and distance and work horizontally with the ultrasound probe.
It offers the possibility to interpret 2D cross-sectional images into the shape of a 3D object. The phantom contains 10 embedded objects that you can use to learn how to adjust the depth compensation to obtain a suitable density and measure dimensions and distances. The objects have round and flat surfaces to offer different levels of difficulty.
